Thailand Launches “BOI to IPO” Program
Thailand’s Board of Investment, Stock Exchange of Thailand, and Securities and Exchange Commission signed a memorandum of understanding establishing the “BOI to IPO” program. This program aims to help New Economy enterprises raise capital through stock market listings by offering additional tax incentives to BOI-promoted companies that list on the SET or Market for Alternative Investment. The initiative links investment promotion policy with capital markets, supporting businesses in 10 New Economy sectors.
Key Objectives of the BOI to IPO Program
The initiative targets businesses in sectors such as advanced agriculture, biofuels, medical technology, automotive, digital commerce, and robotics. With revised listing criteria and a streamlined IPO process, SET and SEC aim to expedite listings with financial support from the Capital Market Development Fund for listing-related expenses. The collaborative effort aims to drive economic growth and facilitate access to capital for high-potential businesses in Thailand.
Enhancing Thailand’s Economic Potential
The BOI to IPO program signifies a crucial step in linking investment promotion mechanisms with Thailand’s capital market. By supporting New Economy entrepreneurs towards stock exchange listing, the collaboration is expected to attract investment, create value, and drive sustainable growth in target industries. Through additional incentives, revised listing criteria, and streamlined processes, Thailand aims to position itself as a hub for high-value, sustainable economic activities.
