The Department of Business Development (DBD) and the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) have launched the “Herban Era” project to support Thai herbal SMEs, showcasing over 50 products at the recent Herban Era Fest. This initiative aims to meet the increasing global demand for wellness products.
Global Market Potential
DBD Deputy Director-General Sathaporn Ruamnaphaya highlighted the potential of the global herbal retail market, projected to reach $66 billion this year and $80 billion by 2030. Thailand ranks 11th globally and leads in the ASEAN region. Notable businesses featured include KindaFlex, Hanara, and Plantae, offering innovative herbal products.
Upcoming Event
The second Herban Era Fest is scheduled for August 21-23 in Nonthaburi, providing a platform for Thai entrepreneurs to showcase modernized traditional herbs through innovative branding and products. With a growing global interest in wellness and self-care, the “Herban Era” project is poised to further elevate Thai herbal SMEs on the international stage.
